Extra-Curricular Activities
Importance is given to instill ethical values for harmonious development of the individuality of the students hence the school has made arrangements for extracurricular activities. Skating, Archery, Silambam, Abacus, Robotics, Chess, Yoga, Music, Classical & Western Dance, these activities provide a forum for the growth of students by tapping their creativity, talent and energy into noble and meaningful achievers.
ABACUS
Abacus training helps children not just with mathematics but also with their memory, creative thinking and logical thinking. Activates Right Brain and Left Brain tremendously.
ARCHERY
Archery is mostly a mental game. It's all about focusing, ignoring distractions and calming your nerves.
SILAMBAM
The students are taught, footwork patterns of Silambam and they must master them before learning spinning techniques, patterns to change the spins without stopping the motion of the stick.
SKATING
Roller skating increases the balancing skills it is ideally learnt at a tender age and hence it was introduced in the lower classes. Roller skating is one of the most efficient way of exercising.
CHESS
Chess is known as a noble game. It helps to develop thinking skills, enhances mental prowess and directly contributes to academic performance and makes people smarter.
KARATE
Learning the art of self-defense is very essential in today's world. The martial arts provide a thrilling experience for the students while also disciplining them.
DANCE
Dance is the hidden language of the soul. Dance helps to enhance the emotional abilities of the students, develop the knowledge and understanding of composing, performing and acting skills.
MUSIC
“A school without music is like a body without soul”, As a part of extra- curricular and also in regular class, students are taught vocal music with proper pitch and rhythm through a trained music staff.
ART & CRAFT
Arts and crafts are fun for children and it covers a wide range of subject for young artists. Children are taught right from the fundamentals of drawing, sketching, shading, and painting, to constructing complex figures.Our skilled teachers will provide guidance, direction and opportunity in engaging themselves in a number of fun filled, interesting activities and decoration ideas to provide excellent inspiration for craft ideas for our students.
ROBOTICS
It is offered from classes I to VIII this course introduce students to know the basics of modeling, designing, planning, and control of robotic systems. They gain exposure to the systems of sensors, control systems, manipulators, power supplies and software that work together to perform a task. Practical training in the Robotics lab gives them a new dimension of learning and understanding the concepts learnt in the class thus kindling their natural curiosity and enthusiasm.
YOGA
A sound mind in a sound body is the secret to a successful life. Yoga gives you peace of mind and clarity, which really helps after a long day or before a big test.
SCOUT & GUIDE
The Scout and Guide movement provides a valuable addition to the formal education, it helps students to inculcate leadership traits, develop team building, time management, planning, thrill for adventure and compassion towards their fellow brethren. Cultural awareness and service to community also form an integral part of this programme. We at RPA are glad to have opened doors for life lessons.
